Characteristics

Dried whole red chilli pods with a wrinkled skin, deep red colour and a clean pungent aroma. Free from mould, live insects and added colour.

Specifications

Moisture 11% max. Extraneous matter 1% max. Damaged and discoloured pods 5% max. Pungency typically 15,000–40,000 SHU, depending on variety.

Packaging

10 kg, 15 kg or 25 kg jute or PP bags. Cartons and private-label packs on request.

Grades

S4, S17, Teja, Sanam and other commercial varieties, sorted by colour, pod length and heat.
