Characteristics

Dried whole turmeric rhizome, fingers or bulbs, with a hard yellow-orange interior and a warm earthy aroma. Free from mould and live infestation.

Specifications

Moisture 12% max. Extraneous matter 1% max. Defective rhizomes 3% max. Curcumin typically 2% min, higher on selected finger lots.

Packaging

25 kg or 50 kg jute or PP bags. Polished fingers can be packed in cartons.

Grades

Finger, bulb and polished finger. Salem, Erode, Nizamabad and Rajapuri types.
